Kristin and Shawn have been besties since their junior year in high school. Among many other things, they shared a deep love for cheering on their C.E. King Panthers as Kristin was a cheerleader and a member of the dance team, and Shawn was the top officer of the dance team. They looked forward to and participated in spirit wear days at every opportunity…That’s where it all began!
About Us
They continued to cheer on their respective college teams as Kristin was a Twirl-o-Jack at Stephen F. Austin State University, and Shawn danced/cheered on the Orange Pride Dance Team at Sam Houston State University.
Their love for all things spirit and spirit wear extended beyond college, as each became a mom and spent many years cheering for their kids from the sidelines. They attended every game/performance decked out in team colors, designed and created by their own hands and with so much love! As Shawn shared her passion with her mom friends in the stands, the requests for more designs and swag came rolling in! And that’s when the wheels began to turn! Upon empty-nesting and Kristin’s recent retirement from her 29-year teaching career, she and Shawn decided to take their passion for crafting and spirit wear to the next level.
In addition to spirit wear, Sew Sheldon Embroidery takes a collaborative approach with clients to designing swag and apparel for ALL needs and occasions to celebrate! From home and holiday decor - to gifts - to keepsakes for weddings, parties, and girls’ trips - as well as repping those team colors! No idea or project is too big or too small!
On June 2, 2025 Sew Sheldon Embroidery (named after their hometown of Sheldon, Texas) was born!
